These are heavy duty high quality pliers which I found to be of significant help when I was working on my truck engine. However, they are a bit tricky to use because they lack a spring to push them open, which means you need to use your hand to both grip and open them, which when working in tight spaces is hard to do. I dropped the pliers three times because they were not pushing back against my hands during manipulation. I am used to long-nosed pliers having enough resistance to closure to stay in my grip. These close very easily with little if any resistance. Hence a spring would have made these much more useful.
These appear to be made of high quality steel, but they are not stainless, and need to be kept oiled. In fact my set arrived covered in a very thin amount of oil and I had to use a paper towel to remove the oil before use. But the excellent cloth roll pouch was outstanding and more than made up for the annoyance of cleaning off the oil.
These are not as versatile as my Crescent PSX204C long reach pliers, but they are a bit less expensive per plier. The roll pouch is also a real plus, so I do recommend these.
