Got it for removing Impala rotors factory tightened. My boxes are Snapon as are all of my wratchets, impacts, cordless impacts and drivers. My impact sockets are a miv of Snapon, Craftsman and Sunex. I have no issues with them. Yes on heavy use over time it will twist and you will buy a new one. Still for as often as i use this size (not daily) it saves me $$. Ive had no complaints about sunex impact sockets. Ive got several damaged impact torx from Snapon also, none in these smaller sizes ate perfect
Anytime you have a lot of 1/4-3/8 dia. screws to drive your 1/4 impact can do it, but only for short amount of time. You need a 1/2" impact with a bit to drive everyone home every time. (54 for my project) the bit worked great, no tear out, drove them all in without a problem.
For T30 sunex is a pretty good tool. I use them to remove the rotor index bolt on GM vehicles. Eventually they all break, that's why it has a good guarantee.
I purchased this for removing tie downs and tailgate covers on ford pick ups. It worked amazingly well in removing the screws but twisted nearly completely around when I put them back in even on my impacts lowest forward setting. Its to be expected I guess a t30 is quite a small bit for a 3/8 drive. It may work better on a impact with a lower torque rating than my nitrocat. Gave it a 4/5 just got to watch it with these smaller torx sizes. I still use it just took a die grinder and ground off the twisted section
Sunex make some of the best tools out there.I am a full time truck mechanic and own mostly Sunex sockets and have never been disappointed.
No doubt, the strongest impact socket line around. Sunex Tools impact sockets tackle the toughest jobs with a chrome molybdenum alloy steel grip that won't let go. With solid durability that keeps them driving through job after job, we've got sizes and styles enough to fulfill any need.
