I have some thin rim on my wife's Maxima so I had to get these. I still need to take of the plastic cover for them to fit in but it works great!

Protector sleeve NOT for use with thin-walls

I purchased this socket because my wheels require a thin-wall socket to reach the lug nuts. The protector sleeve was a selling point for me so that I wouldn't have to damage my wheels when I took them off. However the protector sleeve only works for regularly spaced lug nut bores. If your wheel requires a thin-wall socket, then you have to take the protector sleeve off, and my wheels were a bit scratched up when I took them off and put them back on. It served its function perfectly, however I was a bit disappointed that they scratched my wheels. Still giving it 4 stars because I couldn't really find a better deal on a thin-wall socket (I have Prime), but definitely knocking that one star off for the bit of misleading information about being a thin-walled socket AND having a protector sleeve. If you need a thin-wall socket I would recommend it, however just keep this information in mind.

Good (red colored) 21mm deep socket

I bought the Sunex 284921 21mm socket back in June 20, 2013 and have used it numerous times while working on brakes or rotating my tires. Functionally, it seems well constructed and sturdy in normal use. The 21mm size fits my Toyota lug nuts more securely with less play than the standard lug wrench all in ones. My wheels have enough clearance to leave the protective sleeve on the socket without it being damaged. I use the socket on both a 1/2" torque wrench with for properly tightening the lug nuts as well as on a Dorman 711-900 AutoGrade Lug Wrench when initially loosening lug nuts. The extra leverage provided by the Dorman Lug Wrench is a huge improvement over the factory lug wrench.

Note: Mine was not silver like the one pictured on the product page. The silver one is a 1 inch model 284910.
The 21mm socket I received is red (a light pinkish red) with a white plastic sleeve. Unfortunately the red coating is poor and scratches up even when being careful. -1 star for aesthetics.

Though I have not had a need to use it yet, I found customer service and warranty info on the Sunex Tools site.
