I bought this charger to replace the expensive and fragile German made chargers and so far have been pleased. If it is connected to a car and run on battery charge setting, it tends to supply overvoltage, as much as 15.6 volts and has caused overvoltage faults in control modules. If it is run on flash reprogram setting, I set the voltage to 14.8 and have had no problems. The fans are a little noisy, but in a busy shop, not too noitceable.
Thank you for the item is working just grate an I'm recommended this product some won hu work on high tech vehicles like programming and coding and thanks for fast shipment .
Tired of fighting with battery chargers that "sort of" work some times. Had a Craftsman "Smart Charger" blow a battery up by overcharging, and fail to charge AGM batteries that it was supposed to. The new Schumacher works so much better. Actually managed to disulfide a couple old batteries I was keeping just for cores. Also managed to charge my DieHard Platinum batteries when everything else failed.
A professional charger and clean power unit. I'm a heavy duty diagnostic specialist. I do allot of reprogramming I can set the voltage and not worry about it when re-flashing a module. The charger side is great, connect it, set it, and it takes care of it self. No more resetting a timer and worrying about over charging a battery.
Just a update,I've had this charger for over a year now, I've had no issues with it.
Second update, January 2016, I'm still using the charger. A co-worker borrowed it and accidentally connected it backwards to recharge a battery didn't hurt it bit. It still works just like new. I noticed the price has gone up quite a bit from what I paid but it's still a good deal.
We saved several hundred dollars by buying this unit and the cart only takes up more room. Must have for programming BMW and other cars that require a stable voltage while programming.
