Great product

I purchased this reel from Amazon 7 years ago, it's been in service ever since and hasn't let me down yet. I leave my compressor turned on 24/7 and use it heavily. A previous reviewer said he had trouble with the return spring, but mine has no such trouble.

The reelcraft works just like it is suppose to BUT THERE WERE SOME SHIPPING ISSUES FROM UPS AND REELCRAFT.

1-THE FIRST UNIT/HOSE REEL WAS BENT UP!!! THE BOX HAD HOLES IN IT AND THE UNIT INSIDE WAS BENT UP SO I SENT IT BACK. NO ISSUES THERE WITH THE RETURN THAT WAS EASY.

2-THE SECOND UNIT/HOSE REEL WAS LOOKING OK FROM THE OUTSIDE FOR THE OUTER BOX INSPECTION SO I ACCEPTED IT,,,
AFTER UNPACKING THE UNIT I FOUND THE 2ND UNIT WAS ALSO DAMAGED THIS TIME BY REELCRAFT NOT UPS YOU COULD CLEARLY SEE THE RED PAINT INSIDE THE BOX WHERE REELCRAFTS PACKING DEPARTMENT HAS VERY ROUGH HANDELING PRACTICES WHEN PACKING THE UNIT.
THE DAMAGE THIS TIME WAS ON THE SIDE PLATE AND IT WAS BENT OVER JUST LIKE INSIDE THE BOX WHITNESS MARKS SHOWED. ANYWAY I HAD TO STRAIGHTEN THE BENT UP UNIT SO IT WOULD SPIN/REEL OUT AND RETRACT BACK IN WITHOUT BINDING UP.
IN CLOSING THE UNITS WORKS FINE NOW BUT REELCRAFT AND UPS HANDELING DEPARTMENTS NEED TO BE INFORMED.

Love this thing

Is it cheap? No

Is it the most expensive? Definitely not

Does it work great? You better believe it!

I can't say enough about this reel. It does everything I ask, it will recoil the hose from across the shop without a single issue, aside from taking out anything in it's way, so be careful. I keep my compressor on 24/7 and the reel never leaks at all. There is enough room on the reel that it will coil up even if it isn't rolled up "just so" as some reels require. I am very happy with my purchase and am glad I didn't go with a cheaper reel.

After years of coiling & uncoiling the air hose from a hook next to the bench, I finally bit the bullet. My only regret is having waited so long.
