Milwaukee dropped the ball when they didn't add extra feet for the "carry position". The black frame gets scratched up in no time leading to rust/wear/etc. I solved their oversight by adding 4 hard rubber feet https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AU0ISKI (4 Small Extra Tall Round Rubber Feet Bumpers - .437 H X .750 D - Made in USA), held on with 4 6-32 x 1/2 stainless steel machine screws. I drilled a hole lightly smaller than the screw, 2.5 inches from each perpendicular edge of the frame. The stainless steel screws easily cut threads into the softer metal frame and torqued down securely. To be sure, I also used a dab of clear silicone (marine stuff I had lying around) to help hold the screws in so they wouldn't vibrate loose over time. With this mod the compressor is pretty much perfect.
