This works as described, you can just push the male fitting in and the collar slips forward and latches. That means you can do it one handed if the female fitting is firmly located, And yes it works equally well with both the Truflate "Automotive male coupling and the Industrial style male. They both fit and neither seem to leak. The only downside is that if you connect to a line with pressure on it it takes a good bit of force to push the male in. I would advise buying one and trying it to see if it will meet you needs. I have my Jeep, which has an air tank and two ARB compressors outfitted with these so other people can use their hoses if need be. it seems to be half of each kind of connector out there. I also use them in my garage because all my air tools have 5ft whips on them and some have Automotive and some Industrial. The quality of the Milton Coupling seems excellent and the delivery was good.
