Used this to pull a wiper arm off my 2006 Silverado 2500HD, worked like a charm.
Good tool!
Used to remove windshield wipers from Ford Flex in preparation of windshield glass change.
The tiny little handle on this tool scares me. I hope I'm wrong but am reasonably confident that after a few uses it will snap. Until then, it works well enough.
Just a hint that if you're experiencing clearance issues between this tool and the painted finish on the edge of the car's hood, don't forget to cycle the wipers out of the "parked" position, so that they're facing vertically up the windshield. That ought to get you the clearance you need.
While I'm giving tips, how about a dab of anti seize before reinstallation, and make sure you're tightening the fixing bolt sufficiently to prevent the wipers from buggering up the splines.
For $20, you can't go wrong with this windshield wiper removal tool. Even with the tool, it was somewhat difficult to remove one of the arms - only because the plastic surrounding them on my 2005 Ford Mustang wouldn't allow for the tool to extent as far as it needed (diameter wise). I eventually figured a way to get it to work, and I guarantee I would have been at it for hours - most likely with no luck at all - if I didn't have this tool.
This grip works fine on any battery I tried. It's a longer extension, so you can carry it with your arm comfortably hanging at length.
After wasting copious amounts of PB Blaster and endless hammering, I decided to buy this puller and after 15 seconds, the wiper arm on my 00' Trans Am finally gave. Would recommend.
