Tool works great. Goes in deep enough to properly release the clip where many others dont.

It definitely made disconnecting the hose easy, but this is pretty small and easy to drop. The biggest problem I had with this was that there wasn’t much leverage to turn the tool.

This little tool gets the job done ! In a tight spot under the lower radiator hose, you have to use a mirror to see the trans cooler fitting. No way you're going to get in there with a small pick and remove the retaining clip.
•Start by cleaning the fitting area with some brake clean.
•Remove the plastic reatainer cap with a small flat tip screwdriver.
•Give the fitting/tube area a small shot of WD40.
•Fit this tool over the tube with the ridge towards the fitting , close it up and push it in to the fitting about 1/4". •This little device releases the clip by rotating the tool a quarter turn in either direction ; Then wiggle the steel line out of the fitting.
