The KNIPEX Cobra XXL Water Pump Pliers (87 01 560 US) deliver professional-grade gripping performance in a 22-inch format engineered for large-diameter pipes, fittings, and heavy-duty fasteners. Designed for plumbers, pipefitters, and industrial tradespeople, these pliers offer 30% greater gripping capacity than a comparable conventional pipe wrench while maintaining a lighter overall weight. Manufactured in Germany from chrome vanadium electric steel that is forged and multi-stage oil-hardened, the Cobra XXL is built for exceptional durability and long-term reliability. The tool conforms to DIN ISO 8976 standards, ensuring consistent, professional-level performance across demanding applications.

Features

  • Fast push-button adjustment directly on the workpiece eliminates time-consuming test-adjusting and prevents unintentional slipping of the joint

  • Self-locking on pipes and nuts due to teeth set against the rotation, requiring low hand force with no slipping off the workpiece

  • Fine adjustment for optimum adaptation to different size workpieces and a comfortable gripping position

  • Gripping surfaces feature special hardened teeth with a hardness of approximately 61 HRC for low wear and reliable gripping

  • Box-joint design provides high stability through a double guide, ensuring precise and secure jaw alignment under load

  • Pinch guard protects operators' fingers from being pinched during use

  • 20 adjustment positions accommodate hex nuts up to 4 3/4" and round pipe up to 4 1/2"

  • Optimized jaw shape grips round, square, and hex-shaped material for versatile application

  • Chrome vanadium electric steel construction, forged and multi-stage oil-hardened for long-lasting strength

  • Grey atramentized body finish with polished jaws resists corrosion and reduces surface friction on workpieces
