Great return policy and spits wood!

After a disappointment that the bit was damaged upon shipment, (the tip of the bit was broken) I easily returned the bit using UPS pickup and I had a new bit in my hands 2 days later. I used the bit for 2" mortises on my timber framing project and I couldn't be happier. It drilled through hemlock easily while I did my part holding on to the drill.

Got the job done

Used this to bore a hole 18" deep in a koa log. I would say that this drill size is at the limit of what can be done with a high torque hand-held drill! It worked, but I had to sharpen it a couple of times. I just used a fine file for sharpening. You'll want to protect yourself with some padding for WHEN you lose control of the drill.

Good stuff. I bought this to make a rocket stove out of a stump. It works great but it does involve workas you are hand drilling, or I was anyway. I went with the 2" but think the 11/2" mag be better. Next purchase and test
