Great pliers

I used them to work in a Chevy engine and they did what I needed them to do. Great for gripping and squeezing vehicle hose clamps and reaching into tight places.

Question, does it spring back open? This ad doesn't say.

I would like to buy this, but there is no information in the above description about whether it springs back open or not.
I have a soft-jaw wire straightener that does not, and what a pain. So, maybe the company could include this information and more people might buy it. I have to give it 5 stars because they require me to rate it, and I don't want to hurt them by having this question.

Another great Irwin product

This set of pliers is an addition to an 8 piece set that already purchased from Amazon.com, and well worth the extra expense. I've done some soldering on a couple circuit boards and the bent-nose design worked wonders in immobilizing the wires and other components in hard to reach areas. It helps to keep the job neater (less wasted solder) and the frustration level lower. The grips are made of a great non-slip material and are highly visible on a busy wokbench.
