Good extension, pin connecting to chains must be hammered or pressed in

This extension works well. Beware there's not an easy c-clip chain connector but instead a pin to connect the two links that must be hammered or pressed in. I've not tried to get the two links apart but probably will require a punch. Even with extension the chain grip hold pieces snuggly.

Good quality and is an exact match to the chain used on the Irwin Tools Vice Grip 9-Inch Locking Chain pliers. Bought this extension to add to the Irwin Tools Vise Grip 9 inch locking chain pliers to give extra girth. This unit comes with a pin to use in adding to the afore-mentioned pliers existing chain and is an exact match. There are no instructions on how to use the pin to add to the chain on the pliers so you have to already sort of know what you are doing. I managed to do the operation reasonably well and was satisfied with the results. Someone ought to do a you-tube video of this to help those who don't have a clue, but unfortunately it won't be me because I have already put it together and it won't come apart once together.
