I bought the set to remove seized and stripped allen bolt on a seadoo engine. I drilled out the socket to accomodate the extractor, put some torque on it with a ratchet and it eased right out.
The extractor was chewed up a little bit in the process but should be fine to use.
Highly recommend for stripped allen bolts.
These extractors are awesome! Great for removing stripped allen or torx, as well as recessed hex allen plugs (like on the Ford Superduty Transfer Cases).
Highly recommended along with the bolt head extractors.
These spline saves the day on my lugnuts.
the end of the extractor can fit into a socket, open wrench, or you can use vice grips. perfect fit in tight spaces. hammer an extractor into a stripped bolt and twist it off...just that easy. this drain plug on my truck is poorly designed, so the hex key will easily strip the bolt (see picture 1). first, i heated up the plug with a butane torch. then i hammered an extractor into the stripped bolt. i used a socket on a wrench and slowly applied pressure until the bolt came loose very easily. you hope to never use this extractor set, but it's completely invaluable when you need it.
Worked perfectly to remove the oil drain plug BMW technicians stripped during the initial free maintenance period.
Professionals all say the same thing. It's tough to get a good grip on a frozen fastener. Rounded-off or broken heads, snapped studs, damaged socket screws and fittings. Here's a great set of extractors! These are made for higher torque applications, with multiple strategically placed splines. The extractor turns your socket or flat wrench into a powerhouse tool. Use it when space is limited, or if you need to get a good grip without drilling a deep hole in the fastener. Extractor size and recommended drill bit size are etched on each tool.

Multi Spline Extractor Set is made for higher torque applications with multiple strategically placed splines
Aggressive left hand spiral design for extra gripping power
Extractor size and recommended drill bit size are etched on each tool for easy identification
