These things are great.

These things are great for automotive interior work. No more dropping bolts inside doors and behind dashes. Makes putting stuff back together a lot easier too as the magnets will hold the bolts straight. Obviously these things are shallow and wont work on most nuts, but are perfect for bolts commonly used in door panels and other interior trim. If I had to complain about anything it's that the smaller sockets have smaller magnets. They don't hold bolts as well as the bigger sockets, but that's to be expected. Maybe they could have used stronger magnets for the smaller sockets. Oh well. I still give them 5 stars. Glad I bought these.

I am a professional automotive technician. I have only used these for a little while, but they are already one of my most used tools. Indispensable for holding little screws in tight or blind places, e.g., car interior trim or heater case screws. Before, I only had a magnetized extension that went through the socket. Not only did these not have enough magnetic force, but they will not go through a socket of less than 3/8" or 10mm. This forced me to use makeshift methods to hold the screw in, with little bits of paper wedged into the socket.

The magnetic force that holds the fastener tightly can work against you, however. Sometimes the extension will pull out of the socket and leave it still on the fastener. They really need to be used with extensions that have a locking mechanism in them.
