Great price, very complete set (243pc 6pt)

Lovely set, most sets from other brands inflate the tool count by adding crap you dont want/need, I have a feeling ill be using every tool at least once (and some very frequently) My father has gearwrench tools for years and theyve never skipped a beat, and im pretty sure everything but the screwdriver bits has a lifetime warranty! The case is perfect for travel/organization, youll know if youve lost/anyone steals a tool. Perfect set for home mechanic and the $250 i paid is very fair. only gripe is theres no spot for a padlock but I can live with that. would highly recommend for anyone just starting out wrenching, or just looking for a more complete set. would give 6 stars if i could.

Factory sealed 6pt set with a 12pt socket. Oops!

I've used GEARWRENCH products for years and loved them. This 6pt set was hard to pass up. Lots of useful items included. The only weird thing was the 1/2" drive 18mm socket was a 12pt. Not the end of the world but still annoying. Ordered a replacement socket for $5. Overall it's a great set that doesn't break the bank.

Better than Expected

So I bought this for my sister for christmas so she would have something to start with in her garage. I really don't think they do a good enough description for this set. I got more than I thought when it came down to all the sizes of sockets. Very good variety and also this kit was suppose to come with 84 tooth ratchets but I got the new 90T ratchets which is awesome. Couldn't ask for more thanks GW!

This set comes with a ton of tools, the sockets are a good fit, and the metal is pretty good quality. The photos are of the only problems i've had with the set. My 1/2-3/8 adapter twisted in half under a considerable amount of torque (understandable). What I don't understand is how my 1/4 inch deep 8 mil flared out and split. I must be stronger than I thought.
