Saw a Ford dealer use one of these to find my lighting problem on my F350 on 5th wheel 7 pin round. I use this just before plugging in trailer and can check all of the lights from the drivers seat.

If you have a 7-pin connector you need this. Bought a new snowmachine trailer and the shop kept telling me my plug was shot. I got home and did my own check and found out they had bent the pins in the plug. Staightened them and used this tester to verify everything was working. It resides in my glove box. I use it every time I am going to connect up to make sure the plug is working first. Then if lights aren't functioning I know it isn't the plug.
