The BA227 offers a complete testing solution for 12 Volt batteries and systems. Features an operating range from 6. 5-15V and a testing capacity from 100-1400 CCA. Compatible with a wide variety of battery types, the BA227 is designed to test flooded, AGM flat plate, spiral wound, gel cell, start-stop AGM and enhanced flooded batteries. It features 36" cable leads, replaceable cable ends, temperature compensation and an easy-to-use interface.

Solar Battery Tester

I needed a tester that could handle several types of batteries and a charging system. I have 9 batteries I need to keep tabs on. I can't give an indepth analyses of the machine but it has given me the results I need. I recently had two problem batteries. I tested them with the Solar then took them to three local auto parts stores to compare their test. They were the same as my Solar.

Very good battery tester.
Thermo paper for ease of replacement, no ink to replace.
Reasonably accurate.
Test a variety of battery types.
Long lead, Some times too long to carry out systems test when battery in the rear etc.
Diode ripple test reasonably accurate.
This is our second one, the first one lasted 2.5 years.
Our usage is at least 5+ batteries tests daily 5 days a week.
load error occurred after failure.
