It does not work for gas stoves

The product description says it is for igniting torches, so I can't fault it that much for not working well for gas stove top burners (my electronic igniter in the stove is broken). The problem is that the gas has to be one for a few seconds before the spark will ignite it, and I usually feel quite an uncomfortable amount of heat on my fingers.

Been using this to light my stove for many months now. Took a little while to learn to hold it right up to the gas, but when I do, it works like a charm every time.
