I also use the Retractable Reel version in my shop. Both function well.

Great light for auto or inside repairs in dark spaces. Very bright and not hot to the touch like the old style work lights. Very pleased with its performance. Seems very durable as well. Recommended by Family Handyman.

Purchased to replace a CFL based drop/work light that was ...

Purchased to replace a CFL based drop/work light that was giving me issues and all I can say is that I wish I got this a long time ago. It's very bright and the magnetic attachment has been convenient for me so I can just pull the light off the hook to look around and then pop it right back into place. This is also a problem as if you forget about the hook you could end up leaving it behind. I eventually painted my hook fluro-orange and later added one of the 'remove before flight' streamers.
