DIY must for your VW/Audi

These ribe bit sockets are expensive and impossible to find at your typical auto parts store. It is essential if you plan on doing any work on the cylinder head. They are not impact rated and should not be used with one. They worked flawless for removing my 2.5l cylinder head.

When you need a Ribe bit, you NEED a Ribe bit. Use a Ribe bit for holding the bolt while you apply torque to the nut on the other end, not for breaking the bolt loose by itself. I feel this weakness is a feature of the Ribe specification, not a failing of the tool bit manufacturer. When used correctly, no problems.
