A little bulkier than I thought it would be but not a show stopper. I use it as an EDC in my cargo pocket without issue. I have the polymer version of this at work and this one lives up to the same great performance. The rechargeable battery is the way to go.

Nice flashlight to have and with a rechargeable battery. Battery holds voltage for a long time and good flashlight with a clip.

I bought this flashlight 2 years ago and, although I have 2 other brands with much higher lumens, I prefer this light for EDC. It never leaves my side. The 500 lumen output is plenty bright for most of my applications, though I find that I use the low mode more often, for closer operation, reading, etc. The light has proven to be rugged, reliable, and the clip allows for a deep pocket ride. Also, I can rest the light on the tail cap, to illuminate the ceiling/room, when the power goes out. BUT,I quickly switched from the included Streamlight USB battery to one from Orbtronic, because the micro-USB chargeable battery had SUPER flaky operation. So much so, that I initially thought the flashlight was problematic...when battery was removed to charge, I had to play with tail cap to get it positioned "just so", to work again...even then, getting it back on was not guaranteed. I had already purchased a 3500 mAh battery from Orbtronic (no USB-micro port), so I threw that in and "TA-DA" - my flashlight operated perfectly, no matter what I did when removing and reinstalling battery. Also, when used with 2 CR123 batteries, it had flawless performance, as well. So, I ditched their glitchy battery and haven't looked back. I can't say enough good things about this Streamlight flashlight, and feel 100% confident in its operation...especially with a proper 18650 battery or CR123 batteries installed.

I have now owned this flashlight for 6 years, the same one. It was one of the single best purchases I have ever made. I carry it EVERY single day no matter what time of day or where I’m going. So, it’s been around and abused. The light is so bright and comes in handy ever day. Over 3 hours on high? It’s crazy but it does and it doesn’t dim like other flashlights as it dies, it stays at 500 lumens until it can’t anymore. The batteries hold a charge extremely well.
I’m going to order another one just to have cause I love it that much. I won’t even consider another company or style. This one is perfect for EVERY need. if you see people complaining about this light, don’t believe them, they are just complainers. Best overall flashlight you can buy.
