Excelente producto!!!, muy buenas mejoras con relacion a los tornillos de banco tradicionales, me gusto mucho su funcionamiento y simplicidad
I like the concept. Build quality can be better. I wouldnt use this for heavy duty work. Currently being used as on my gun bench.
Purchased the OEM version of the 6 inch vise from a big box hardware store by the same manufacturer (Speedjaws), and was lucky to have received one which was fairly well-made. Quick release button worked and the vise grip pads were almost perfectly aligned. It's also pretty solid if a little rough hewn. The material used seems all very heavy duty, and the 6 inch version clocks in at at least 20 pounds or so of dense cast metal. The biggest limitation design flaw is that that the 3 guide rails are set at a different level (lower) than the vise screw, so it's hard to get level placement. That's ok for woodworking but for machining/milling you'll need to look elsewhere for something with a flat surface.
Great little vise. Just add some blue lock tight to a few bolts and retighten everything. I use it for gunsmithing and general repairs, and it works great as a holding fixture. Wouldn’t put too much torque on it though.
Heavy duty vice with adjustable angle. The cast iron is uneven and this makes the jaws uneven as the top of the jaws are not level with each other by about 1/8th inch, end to end. Despite the uneveness of the jaws, the vice works well. Mounting screws were not included, so you need to provide your own. I used #14, flathead, 2 inch length woodscrews to fasten the base to my workbench. Vice can be removed from the base when it is not in use.
Altogether, a good value for the price.
