Tried several, this is one is by far the best.

This is the tool to use if you have tight clearances between the coil spring and the shock’s plastic boot. I tried the standard loan a tool and then the single action strut compressor style on my struts. Both were extremely hard to get off when the tension on the spring was released. This tool has the simple “U” bolts that slip right into the tight space, no problem. Excellent tool.

Well made, safe tool

I just changed front struts on a '95 Neon. The tool worked well and the procedure went smoothly. The rod bent slightly during extreme compression- probably due to the long distance from the coil inside the clamp to the centerline of the pressure along the rod, but it held up well and safety was never a concern. Much safer than other types I have tried.

it works well and is very safe to use except it take longer to assemble the tool than some other spring compressors, Safety is primary concern with me.
