Le matériau poreux permet au liquide de passer rapidement dans l'entonnoir ou le bac. Le matériau du tampon résiste à l'huile moteur, au liquide de transmission, au liquide de refroidissement, au liquide de frein, au nettoyant pour freins, à l'huile pour engrenages et à d'autres solvants. Le 22 po s'adapte à tous les entonnoirs de vidange de transmission standard et aux bacs de vidange de plus grande taille. Le tampon peut être coupé pour un ajustement parfait.
