Great product for it's intended use of providing clean fuel ...

Great product for it's intended use of providing clean fuel to my equipment. I searched all over the internet and vendors were asking 2 & 3 times Amazon's price. Installation was straight forward, required basic hand tools and 30 minutes of time. One of the two supplied fuel filters was dented upon arrival but still useable. Love it!!!

This was a gift for my husband. He is very handy guy. So, He had no problem installing it on the 25 gallon gas caddy tank drum from Generic. That I also purchased.

Update (from the initial review comments, below):
Change the 'rating' from ONE star to FOUR stars.

The replacement filter unit works vastly better without the hole in the casting that was present in the first unit. It's mounted on a XtremepowerUS 30 Gallon Square Gas Caddy Tank Storage Drum Barrel Gasoline Fluid Diesel Carrier Pump, using a bracket that I welded up from some angle-iron, with a couple of pipe nipples that allow the assembly to slip onto the fuel caddy's handle. The diesel fuel in the tractor had accumulated some sediment over years of filling, etc. and it's very functional and reassuring to be able to pump the fuel OUT of the tractor's tank ---passing through one of the filters--- into the caddy, and then pump it back into the tractor ---passing through the other filter---. This filter is a valuable addition to any fuel caddy (acknowledging that a custom bracket might be needed) providing the reassurance that either recovered or dispensed fuel is well-filtered.

It spews fuel OUT of the VENT HOLE in the casting when you're pumping fuel into your vehicle, etc..
It sucks air IN through the VENT HOLE ---preventing pump's priming--- when you're trying to pump fuel from the vehicle.
So, in a sense, it is "Two-way" but it's very awkward and you have to love the smell of diesel all over you unless you hold your finger over the vent hole while you're pumping with the other hand. it will probably require being drilled out to a 1/8" hole, followed by placing a sealed-end "Pop Rivet" in the hole so that fuel doesn't spew.

I purchased the Fuel Chief two way fuel filter for my 30 gal gas caddy. The first one was damaged. I contacted customer service and they immediately sent me a replacement next day FedEx shipping and return shipping was cover also.
The filters work great.The product is sturdy, well built and has some weight to it. This is no cheap light weight product. Amazon had the lowest price I could find on the internet.
