Good quality drill

Good quality drill. I used to drill out some existing bolts to install helicoils and it went right through.

and it is a good size bit

This is the size bit I break the most, and it is a good size bit. I have yet to break one of these new bits, but, I don't use them every day. When I do use them I like to have an extra.

Use cutting oil

Bought these to drill new holes in the steel trailer ribs to put new deck boards on my 16’ trailer. I was expecting to go through all the bits. It only took 2. I broke one because I got off balance and snapped it off. I drilled at least 100 holes though 3/16” steel. I did use cutting oil and took my time to keep from overheating the bits.

Bit worked as advertised. Haven’t used it a lot, so its hard to comment on the longevity. But it cuts cleanly through 3/16” mild steel very well when using a cutting fluid.
