Great price and excellent tools.
Growing up with Craftsman ratchets I must say, these are the nicest ratchets I have used to date. I’ve always wanted the tool truck brands but I’m not a career mechanic and can’t justify the cost. These are my go to ratchets for everything. I’m thinking about picking up some with the comfort grip handles.
Great rachet for the money! I use mine daily as a marine mechanic and they never skip a beat!
You cannot beat the quality vs. price on this ratchet set (and most Gearwrench products, really).
These have the smallest swing arc in the industry (the fine smooth ratcheting is very satisfying), which is awesome, but it might make you think they can't handle a lot of torque because of that. Wrong: these ratchets have held up under some pretty intense usage and torque pressure. I have zero concerns about busting my knuckles or their durability. Plus, gearwrench stuff is easy to warranty. This quality set is worth hundreds more than it's price tag, if you consider their quality vs. brands like Snap-on and Matco.
I am a diesel mechanic and my coworkers often make fun of me for buying "Discount tools" from brands like Gearwrench, Aircat, and Sunex, but they really don't know what they're missing. The quality of most of the tools from these brands are top notch. Maybe not *quite* as quality as the tool truck brands, but they rarely let me down, have great warranties, and are a fraction of tool truck prices.
The only concern I have with buying these value tool brands is when I actually need something warrantied from the tool truck guys, they might give me a hard time because I hardly ever buy anything from them anymore! ;)
i was getting tired of having like a 5 tooth ratchet that i couldn't get to turn a bolt when the swing arch was limited by space. so i got these and boy am i glad i did. they're so nice when dealing with cramped spaces where you dont have a lot of room to swing the handle. at least with these you can get a bolt out with short fast swings of the handle.
i cant speak to the durability of them yet as ive only had them a month or so. but they're a nice looking set that ive already gotten a good amount of use out of so im hopeful they'll last a good long time.
