nice set of pliers
These are nice for pulling vacuum hoses, fuel hoses, and heater hoses off of fittings. They grip the hose so you can wiggle, break it loose, and pull it off with minimum effort. If you do this type of work, get them.
this set is easily comparable to more expensive "professional" tool companies, the x beam tech makes opening and closing the pliers a breeze, perfect for those really stubborn hoses no more breaking barbs with regular pliers.
good use for the hoses stuck on lines that use vacuum or other types. has a good long reach for those auto transmission lines.
These are not Snap-On quality, but still well featured and great value for the money!
Having the three different sizes is a definite plus (much better than one expensive pair). The serrated jaws grip well, and the handles are comfortable (plus black doesn't show the dirt). These pliers are also a good useful length (13" not 10"). The compound action is not as noticeable as I thought it might have been, but that's not all bad. GearWrench seem to have struck a good compromise, which allows the jaws to open a decent amount in relation to the handles AND also retains a good leverage ratio so there is no need to squeeze the handles excessively.
I would have preferred slightly better finished plier tips, over the fancy plastic presentation tray. However, I'm very mindful of the fact I didn't pay much money for this compound action triple set. Recommended for sure.
