I have been a professional welder for 30 years. I recently got a new job where I am welding steel, stainless steel, inconel, monel and aluminum. This helmet does a grate job in handling any type of metal arc flash. It is light weight enough to ware all day. but it is not flimsy. There are a lot of adjustments of the head band, but the back little block that houses the ratchet band adjustment, is very uncomfortable. I cut and added a pad from a face shield. and problem solved. The replacement parts are also available at most of my local welding supply stores. or they can get them. The view through the lens is crisp, clear and sharp, as the $350 helmet I was borrowing from a co worker, although the features are not as advanced, The 2 switches on the inside for darkening speed, and grinding mode, and the 2 knobs on the outside for sensitivity, and lens shade, do as good of a job as a high end helmet. With the 4 sensors there is no issue with the helmet going bright when your are TIG welding like a cheep helmet does. I have had this helmet for about 1 week, and I am very happy with it.
