Moteur moto
bought for customer says he's happy
This tool is great for deglazing the cylinder walls when rebuilding the engine. YES, I would recommend this to all who do rebuilding of engines.
I used this hone on a BMW M20 rebuild out of a mid-80's E30. The hone worked perfectly.
I first used the hone with an old 9.6V Makita cordless drill that, sadly, didn't make enough torque to get the job done right. I went out and bought a 6.5 amp Porter Cable 1/2" chuck drill and it cleaned up the cylinders perfectly.
Note: if the hone starts to bind a bit, do your best to _not_ stop the drill from spinning. I learned (the hard way) that if the hone stops, and you (in your infinite wisdom, like myself) try to reverse the hone out, the metal "braids" that hold the hone balls in place will unravel. You'll spend more time than you car too putting the hone back together again (with or without all the king's men).
Even though there is still life in the first hone I used, I ordered another one just to have on hand. That's how much I liked this hone.
Does a beautiful job as advertised. No complaints on performance or price.
