When you're cutting blocking between studs or trimming sheathing during a bay renovation, a Milwaukee® Circular Saw is the tool that keeps the job moving. This collection covers the full cordless lineup, from FUEL™-powered M18™ options built for heavy dimensional cuts down to compact M12™ models that handle the lighter work. There are corded circular saw choices here too, for the days when the outlet is close and the cuts don't stop. The range runs from 5-3/8" compact blades up through full 7-1/4" framing saws.

Milwaukee FUEL Circular Saw and Cordless Options

The FUEL platform runs on Milwaukee's POWERSTATE™ brushless motor, which means less heat buildup and longer motor life than brushed alternatives. Every cordless circular saw in the M18 collection shares that motor technology along with REDLINK PLUS™ electronics that keep the tool from overloading mid-cut. The lineup covers both 7-1/4" and 6-1/2" blade sizes, so you can match the saw to the work. That flexibility is what makes the M18 FUEL lineup worth looking through before you commit to one size.

The M12 FUEL circular cutter side scales things down for jobs where a full-size saw is more tool than you need. The 5-3/8" blade still handles most 2x dimensional lumber at 90° across the Milwaukee saw lineup, which covers quick crosscuts, trimming blocking to length, or cutting sheet goods in a cramped corner of the shop. It runs on the same M12 battery platform as the rest of your Milwaukee gear, so one charger covers everything, and you're not managing two separate battery platforms on the bench.

Milwaukee Corded Circular Saw Options

The collection also carries corded circular saw options for jobs where runtime matters more than mobility. When you're breaking down plywood for a shop build or making sustained framing cuts during a bay fit-out, a 15-amp corded saw doesn't fade halfway through the cut list. For guided straight cuts on sheet goods, the Milwaukee track saw collection keeps the line true from one end to the other. And when the material calls for curves or metal stock, the band saw lineup handles what a circular blade can't.

Choosing the Right Milwaukee Circular Saw Blade

Even the best circular saw is only as good as the blade you put on it. A 24-tooth framing blade rips fast through studs and blocking; all you need for rough dimensional work. Step up to a 40-tooth combination when the edge needs to be cleaner without giving up too much speed, and go 60-tooth for sheet goods where tearout costs you time in cleanup. And for cuts that fall outside a circular blade's range, the Milwaukee Sawzall and Hackzall cover those rough cuts and tight-access work.

FAQ

What's a miter saw used for?

Angled and compound cuts on trim, molding, and framing stock. A Milwaukee miter saw holds the same angle cut after cut. A circular saw can't do that freehand.

When does a table saw make more sense than a circular saw?

When you're ripping sheet goods or dimensional lumber and need the same cut repeated accurately every time. A table saw is built for that. A circular saw is for mobility, not volume ripping.

Can I use a circular saw to cut through timber or pallets?

No. A Milwaukee chainsaw is the right call for that. It breaks down large, rough material fast, where finish doesn't matter. The circular saw is for dimensional and sheet work.

Does a circular saw handle yard work and branches?

No. A pruning saw handles live branches, and a pole saw gets you to overhead limbs without a ladder. Both are outdoor tools, completely different from what a circular saw does in the shop.
