The gauge came well packaged, with a nice bag for future storage. It did not come with batteries, so you'll want to order two CR2032 batteries ahead of time. Once I had those, it took maybe two minutes to put the batteries in, download the app, and pair the devices.
For those of you who don't like to read directions (like me), it wasn't difficult to figure out what to do. The important piece to note is the gear changes tire (LF, RF, RR, LR in that order), and the power changes input type. Also, if you want to retake a tread depth measurement, just set it back to 0 and then retake.
I liked being able to enter the vin and get the standards. The measurements were recorded in the app quickly.
Sending the results took a little more effort. I successfully sent a screenshot to myself easy on the first car (emailed a png file). However, it took me a bit longer to find the send results page - on the tire setup page. Personally, I didn't have a use for that function yet so it wasn't a big deal. When working on the second car, I had to remember to clear the prior car's result.
Overall, I found it easy to get up and going. No training required to find out if a car's tires are in good condition. I'm rating 4/5 because the app could use some simplification on the export methods, and maybe a clear sense of workflow (what to do first, second, etc). I did receive this product for free in exchange for an honest review.
