I needed this for my Dakota with the 4. ...

I needed this for my Dakota with the 4.7 L engine. The oil filter is in the front, facing downward at 45 degrees, and there is no room for a strap wrench or even large channel-locks. This wrench fits the 3 7/8" filter tightly and allows for use of an appropriately long ratchet or breaker bar. Bravo, and thanks!

Must have for techs

Get this if you are a lube technicain. This has saved me so many times on the job when people go forever without changing their oil. The filter becomes rusted to the motor and takes alot to get it off. My older more experienced coworkers come and borrow this off me when a filter is giving them trouble. This works like a charm on the big ford filters on the bigger trucks where it is almost impossible to maneuver a plier or band style wrench. With this and a stubby fine tooth ratchet you can get the hardest cramped filters out in no time. Save yourself the frustration and buy both of these(they make one for smaller filters too).

Great product! I have been using this oil filter wrench at work and it gets the job done fast and effective. No matter how hard some one Gorillas a filter on a car this one come through on the regular! Keep in mind you also need a good ratchet and extention drive to be effective.
