A stud puller.... and not the kind you're thinking you weirdo.
Makes installation easy. You can sometimes install wheel studs without any tool, and just the tightening the lug onto the stud will be enough to seat the stud in the wheel hub. However, with trucks sometimes the studs are too long so this tool will help. It can be substituted with any round object of similar size, but this fits perfect.
Had to change studs on a new Peterbilt 579 semi tractor so we could install dual rear wheels instead of the super singles it came with. Purchased this tool specifically for that job, and it made it a snap.
Both sides are flat, unlike the small stud installer that has a tapered side. I didn't see any instruction as to which side should face the hub, so I assume it works either way.
it works great put in 250 wheel studs but it need oil or wd 40 for it still worksgot 250 to go but for the price its cheap when I get done mightnever use again so I orer a new one just in case
