Used professionally. Great quality and works very well on the smaller vehicle calipers. Lang makes a bigger version for 2500 and 3500 truck brakes.
Purchased to use on rear Honda Civic calipers.
Honda Civic rear calipers have an electronic parking break on the backside of the caliper.
I usually use a C clamp, but I don't want to damage the EPB plastic housing.
This tool works nicely.
It is very well made and the ratchet mechanism is strong.
Highly recommend for Honda rear caliper pistons that are newer and don't require the piston to be screwed in.
Easy way to reset brake caliper pistons
I have the large version then found myself needing the smaller version too, they both work well. Yes, you can do the same thing with a C-clamp but with the multi piston calipers these days that is becoming more of a challenge. You could use the pads to press agains but the cost of damaging some pads can be more than the price of the right tool for the job.
can go together futher than the other size so it works well for rear brakes. it dose have threads stiskig out on one side so if your doing ft. dual piston calipers the thread wil get in the way. i bought both sizes, thakes less effort to push in over the pistol style depressors
